Biografie

Bands like Pentagram, Electric Wizard, Kyuss and Monster Magnet have been faithful deciples in keeping the old doom and gloom flavoured metal alive and kicking. It is time to really boost the flame of good old beelzebub and the grand masters Black Sabbath again. Sahg is due to take it´s turn.

The four-piece was founded in early 2004 by key figures in the Norwegian metal scene, hailing from bands like Gorgoroth, Manngard and Audrey Horne (winners of Norwegian grammy for best metal album this year). Sahg quickly established itself as the talk of the town, and within months after their formation, Swedish Regain Records ran off with their signature.

The band has spent the past year in the studio writing and recording their debut album, "Sahg I", consisting of ten songs of classic heavy rock with a groove that would make John Bonham proud, highlighted with epic and soaring melodies that will even leave a die hard Ozzy fan breathless.

Although Sahg has made a great deal of effort preparing their album, there has also been time for a few gigs around Norway. The band was fronted as the one to watch at the prestigious Hole in the Sky festival.

2006 will be spent touring and promoting the new album. Appearances at both Oslo´s Inferno Festival and by:Larm in Tromsø are already confirmed.
