BAND: Sewn Shut

Biografie

Rodrigo - drums and vocals

Esse - guitars

Kristofer - bass

SEWN SHUT started off, in 1999, as a one-man-grind-project with Rodrigo playing all the instruments. He recorded a demo tape (Sewn shut by the weakest thread of lies) which he only passed on to a few friends with no intention to do anything more. But since he wasn´t too happy with the final result of the demo, he started recording a second demo which turned out much better than expected. A friend approached him about doing a 7" ep of the second recording. So together they released it on vinyl (Masquerading the guilty in a garb of innocence). Soon after the 7" came out, in 2000, Esse joined the project, now taking over most of the guitar and bass parts. Together they recorded a few split EP´s and comp tracks.

In 2001 Kristofer joined on bass. He had recently moved to Malmo from Ostersund, northern Sweden, where he used to play in a band called ASSEL. Ronnie Raw from the band MAN IN SHACKLES joined on vocals and together they did their first live show as a four-piece. Later on Josef from the band GOO took over the vocal duties.

In 2004 they did their first tour, a few shows in Germany and Czech Rep together with their good friends NEEDFUL THINGS.

At the moment the band is down to a 3-piece since Josef has moved. SEWN SHUT is currently working on a full length CD / LP and a split 7" with Unholy Grave.
