BAND: The Butterfly Effect
BY UNKNOWN
Biografie
The Butterfly Effect emerged from the Brisbane underground hard rock scene in 2001 with their debut self-titled EP which instantly gained recognition on national youth radio network, Triple J. Self-financed and released through local independent label Modern Music the EP soon became highly in demand across the entire country. In January 2002 the band was invited to perform at the local Big Day Out and to capitalise on the momentum a national tour was booked to supply the growing demand for the band. As a result several tours followed including supports with some of Australia´s leading rock acts which in turn, attracted the attention of the larger record companies and publishers within Australia. In May 2002 The Butterfly Effect and Modern Music entered into a Licensing deal with Roadshow Music and began the task of developing the act to what it has become today. The Butterfly Effect is an extremely powerful and dynamic four-piece hard rock band that leaves all that see them stunned and satisfied. Drawing influences from various alternative rock acts from the 80´s and 90´s The Butterfly Effect has formulated a sound that is musically fresh, energetic and vocally outstanding. Their repertoire includes power, passion and conviction and takes all who listen on a journey of emotional discovery.
With a successful EP, top 50 album and a tour schedule that only the toughest bands can handle The Butterfly Effect is on its way to becoming one of the great success stories of hard rock bands to come out of Australia.
