BAND: The Old Dead Tree
BY UNKNOWN
Biografie
Since its creation in early 1997, THE OLD DEAD TREE have stood out in the current European metal scene with their unique musical style. A style which combines Extreme Metal, Dark Rock and Pop music accented with the exceptional vocals of Manual Munoz who slides effortlessly from one style to the other. This was very evident with the release of first mini-CD "The Blossom". The band´s talent has also shown through in their many live performances. Those of which have garnered them much praise and a very enthusiastic welcome from the press and the fans in their homeland of France and abroad !
Following the suicide of its previous drummer in 1999, the band was inspired to exorcise the loss of this cherished person and all the dark feelings and frustration a suicide implies. This has resulted in the concept album "The Nameless Disease". Produced by Andy CLASSEN (Rotting Christ, Dew Scented, Krisiun, Tankard, Callenish Circle?) and mastered by Goran FINNBERG (In Flames, Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, Dark Tranquillity?), this album carries a powerful, aggressive and modern sound.
In 2002, THE OLD DEAD TREE have found a home with Season of Mist and join forces with the international record label. The label and the band are currently getting prepared for the official release of "The Nameless Disease" (17th March 2003) and the band is eager to demonstrate the music´s quality on stage. Keep an eye out for THE OLD DEAD TREE!
