Biografie
Founded in 2011 in Vienna, Austria, the aim of HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY has always been to create a unique mixture of melancholy and aggression, madness and meaning, and wrapped in alternately manic/mellow songs that bridge black metal and atmospheric post-rock. After the initial studio project had been extended by live members, the band completed successful European tours with A Forest of Stars, Der Weg Einer Freiheit, Agrypnie and others, visiting over 20 countries to date. Their third album "III - Trauma", released in 2016, received great acclaim from both critics and audiences and was nominated for the "Amadeus Austrian Music Award".
